Through the College of Reviewers (College), CIHR aims to enhance the current peer review system by systematizing reviewer recruitment to identify and mobilize the appropriate expertise for the review of all funding applications. By developing customized learning and mentoring programs and implementing quality assurance programs that support continuous improvement at all levels, the College’s aim is to provide reviewers with the knowledge and resources necessary to conduct consistent, fair and high quality reviews.
